Q.
Parker/NeWFam Ent. and Drift City Records Join Forces
Atlanta
– Q. Parker, of the multi-platinum Grammy award winning quartet
112, has officially announced that he will be releasing a solo
album. While still performing with 112, Q, who on his own is a
multi-award winning ASCAP songwriter and producer, will release
his Real Talk album under the imprint NeWFam Ent./Drift City
Records.
In 2007, NeWFam Ent. CEO
Quinnes “Q” Parker and Sharlinda Rowe Parker teamed up with
Drift City Records through it’s president, music industry
heavyweight Ian Burke. Burke states, “Q and I have known each
other for years and we both have been looking for an opportunity
to work together.” When the two labels began work together,
there was instant synergy.
Q’s recent performance to a
packed crowd at SugarHill Atlanta was proof that he has
transformed from a track artist to a live artist. Leaked
versions of “Never Let You Go” and “Holla Atcha” feat. Plies
have already created an internet buzz due to the anticipation of
Parker’s solo debut. With a tentative release date of June
2008, Q describes the album “Real Talk” as an embodiment of
real-life experiences. |
